Frieren anime to debut on September 29th
The anime is scheduled to debut on September 29th at 9:00 p.m. (8:00 a.m. EDT) and will run for a 2-hour episode. This marks a significant milestone as it will be the inaugural television anime series to premiere during NTV's "KinyĆ Roadshow," a Friday evening programming slot typically reserved for feature films. Subsequent episodes of the anime are slated to air in October as part of NTV's newly established anime timeslot.
Viz Media holds the official license for the manga
adaptation, and their description of the story is as follows:
After successfully vanquishing the Demon King alongside her
brave comrades, the elf mage Frieren finds herself in a world where the
adventure has ended, but life continues. However, Frieren grapples with the
knowledge that she will far outlive her former companions. As decades pass, the
funeral of one of her friends forces Frieren to confront her own
near-immortality. She embarks on a journey to fulfill the final wishes of her
comrades, thus embarking on a new adventure and seeking to understand the true
essence of life through the experiences of those around her.
